The questions users ask most often, answered directly.

### What exactly does ByKaranteli do?

ByKaranteli records crypto derivatives market data with its own collection network: liquidations, funding, open interest, order books, options, ETF flows and CFTC positioning, around the clock, and publishes recent history free, with a timestamp on every row. It does not open trades and it publishes no trade signals; it provides data and tools.

### How is it different from competitors?

Three concrete differences. Own recorders: the data comes from the venues directly, not from a resold aggregator feed, so every row has a source and a timestamp. Published method: how each series is collected and whether a number is measured, derived or modelled is written down in the methodology. Public incidents: when a feed breaks the status page and the incident log say so instead of quietly backfilling.

### Is it paid or free?

Every market page is free with no account. Programs that read the JSON API, the datasets or the hosted MCP send a free account key. A free account adds the workspace: the Desk, watchlists with notes, calculators, 3 alerts by Telegram or push, the Monday recap email and a free API key. Terminal pays for the desk that runs on our side while you are away: more alerts with email delivery, member depth on the boards, the LiqMap workspace, the radar and a digest built from your watchlist. Same data for everyone: the plans buy depth, volume and the tools that run on our side. Plans on /pricing are prepaid; nothing auto-renews.

### How fresh is the data?

Liquidation prints and order book depth stream in real time. Tickers, funding and open interest refresh every few minutes. Daily series such as ETF flows, the Coinbase premium and CFTC positioning update once their source publishes. Every page shows its own timestamp and the status page shows the age of every feed.

### Where does the data come from?

Free public sources only, recorded by us: Binance Futures REST and WebSocket for perpetuals, plus the liquidation feeds of Binance, Bybit, OKX, Gate, HTX, dYdX, Aster, Lighter, Kraken Futures, GMX and Deribit, the option chains of Deribit, Bybit, Binance, OKX and Delta Exchange, Deribit for DVOL, Coinbase for the US spot premium, the CFTC for COT positioning, the issuer pages and a public flow tracker for US spot ETF flows, our own Bitcoin node for network health, and public sentiment and market-cap aggregates for the market indices. The coverage page lists the venues and feeds we record; the methodology describes how each series is collected. Paid data services are intentionally not used. Each data page prints the time of its data.

### Does it place trades automatically?

No. ByKaranteli records and displays market data; it does not open positions on any exchange and it does not tell you what to trade. Decisions and orders are fully on the user. The risk guide explains Kelly-based sizing from your own statistics, but execution is yours.

### What leverage is recommended?

None. The platform shows market state; leverage and position size are the user's call. The risk guide shows how a conservative, balanced, or aggressive allocation follows from your capital, your stop distance and your own trade statistics, but the final choice is still yours.

### Does past data predict future prices?

No. Leveraged crypto derivatives can lose all invested capital. Recorded series describe what the market did; as conditions change, the relevance of any pattern decays.

### Do I have to register?

No. Public pages such as symbols, the liquidation map, funding, open interest, options, ETF flows, methodology and status are viewable without registration. The workspace with the Desk, watchlists and alerts requires a free account.

### Is there an API?

Yes. /api/public/symbols, /api/public/pressure, /api/public/liquidations and the other endpoints on the developers page return JSON or CSV. A browser or an embed gets 60 requests per minute per IP; a program needs a free API key and gets 30 requests per minute on it. Cache-Control headers allow short public caching. You can embed the numbers on your site; attribution is appreciated.

### Support / contact?

Email support@bykaranteli.com for anything account- or data-related. Live posts run on the Telegram channel (t.me/bykaranteli_com); the web terminal is bykaranteli.com.

### Can I connect my AI assistant (Claude, Cursor) to ByKaranteli?

Yes. ByKaranteli runs an official MCP (Model Context Protocol) server, so Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and any other MCP-capable assistant can pull live data from this site while you chat: market indices, funding rates, liquidations, US spot ETF flows, pressure scores and the symbols board. Setup is one line (npx -y bykaranteli-mcp) plus a free account key. Full instructions live on the developers page.
