# How much do exchanges hold to cover bankrupt liquidations?

When a leveraged position is liquidated below its bankruptcy price, the loss is paid from the exchange's insurance fund; when the fund cannot pay, the exchange cuts winning positions instead (auto-deleveraging). Every hour we read the funds Binance, Bybit, OKX, Gate, MEXC, Bitfinex, Crypto.com, Delta Exchange, dYdX and Paradex publish, pool by pool, value them in dollars and keep the daily record.
