Crypto Liquidations: Live 24h Totals and Daily History

Every row on this page is a liquidation event recorded by our own collection network, straight from the exchanges: no third-party aggregator sits in between. The 24h section updates live; finalized UTC days roll into a permanent daily history that is free to download. For where the next liquidations are likely to cluster, see the LiqMap.

Coverage-adjusted market estimate $374.0M · recorded x 1.75: the venues we record hold $41.00B of the $71.75B perp open interest we track, and the uncovered venues are assumed to liquidate at the same rate per dollar of open interest. An estimate, not a record.

In the last 24 hours, $213.7M in crypto futures liquidations were recorded on our own feeds from 8 venues (a floor, not an industry total: Binance publishes at most one liquidation per second per symbol, and venues without a public feed are not counted): $120.4M from longs and $93.4M from shorts. The largest single liquidation was $4.7M on AKEUSDT (Bybit).

Methodology and honest limits

We record liquidation events directly from major derivatives venues' real-time feeds with our own collectors. Side convention follows the order that closed the position: a sell order means a long was liquidated, a buy order means a short was liquidated. The full venue list lives in our developer docs.

These are recorded events, not estimates, which makes the recorded total a floor rather than a ceiling: Binance throttles its public feed to one liquidation per second per symbol, and venues without any public liquidation feed (Hyperliquid, Bitget, MEXC, KuCoin) are not counted at all. Next to the recorded number we publish a coverage-adjusted market estimate: recorded multiplied by the ratio of the whole perp market's open interest to the open interest of the venues we record. Both inputs are shown so the estimate can be undone, and it is labeled as an estimate everywhere it appears

The 24h section reads the live event store directly. Finalized UTC days are rolled into the permanent daily table shortly after midnight UTC. Raw events are kept for 30 days; daily rows are kept forever. Collection began on 2026-07-30, and no earlier history exists because no free historical liquidation source does.

FAQ

What is a crypto liquidation?

A liquidation happens when a leveraged futures position loses enough that its margin can no longer support it, and the exchange force-closes it at market. Long liquidations are forced sells that push price down; short liquidations are forced buys that push price up.

Why are these totals lower than on some other sites?

Two reasons, both published on this page: Binance publishes at most one liquidation per second per symbol, and some venues (Hyperliquid, Bitget, MEXC, KuCoin) have no public liquidation feed at all, so they are absent from the recorded total. Sites with larger headline numbers use models or paid node data. We show the recorded number as the record and a coverage-adjusted estimate next to it, with the open-interest inputs, so you can see exactly what the gap is

What does more longs than shorts liquidated mean?

It means the move hurt leveraged longs: price fell far enough to force their positions closed. A session dominated by short liquidations is the mirror image, a squeeze upward. Comparing the two sides shows which crowd was caught offside.
