What does each exchange charge to trade, maker and taker?

Fee pages on exchange sites change quietly and marketing tables round generously. This table is read daily from each venue's own fee endpoint at the base tier, stored as slowly changing rows, and every edit shows up in the change log. The calculator turns the rates into a dollar cost for a round trip.

Fee schedule per venue

Base tier, no VIP discounts, no token rebates. A venue with one schedule per market type shows one row; venues that price per pair show the median across pairs and the pair count.

03

How this is recorded

Each day the collector reads every venue's trading fee endpoint and stores maker and taker per market type, or per pair when the venue prices pairs differently. Rows are slowly changing: an unchanged schedule keeps its date, a changed one closes the old row and opens a new one, and the change log is derived from those closures.

Venues that publish fees only behind an authenticated endpoint join when a read-only key is configured (Binance since 4 September 2026). Coverage per venue is on the Data Sources page.

Why is the listed fee higher than what I pay?

This is the base tier without volume tiers, token discounts or referral rebates. It is the right number to compare venues and to spot changes; your own bill depends on your tier.

Why does a venue show one row and another dozens of pairs?

Most venues publish one schedule per market type. Some price pairs individually; for those we show the median across pairs and the pair count, and the venue profile lists the pairs.

Can I get this as data?

Yes. The public JSON endpoint returns the schedule table and the change log, and the CC0 dataset ships the current rows.
