Venue share

The part of a total, such as liquidations or open interest, that comes from one exchange.

Venue share splits a market-wide total by exchange: of all the liquidations we count in a window, how much printed on each venue, or of the open interest we track, how much sits on each. It matters for reading any total, because a figure summed over the venues we record is a floor and the shares show which venues carry it. How to read it: a rising share for one venue can mean activity moved there or that another venue's feed went quiet, so check the coverage page before reading a shift as a market move. The liquidations page carries a table by exchange for the last day.
