Market Profile
One trading day drawn as time spent at each price, so the prices the market accepted stand out from the ones it passed through.
Market Profile turns a trading day sideways: instead of price over time, it shows how long the market traded at each price. Our version cuts each closed UTC day of a perpetual into 30-minute periods, marks every price bucket each period touched (buckets 0.05% of the day's open wide) and stacks the marks. From that stack come the point of control, the value area holding 70% of the marks and the initial balance of the first 60 minutes. How to read it: a wide value area is a day that traded across a broad range, a narrow one a day that stayed in place, and where the close sits against the value area says whether the day ended inside or outside the prices it accepted. It is a record of where trading happened, not a forecast. The section sits on every symbol page whose one-minute bars we record.
