Value area (VAH, VAL)

The price band around the point of control that holds 70% of a day's TPO marks; its top is VAH, its bottom VAL.

The value area is built outward from the point of control: the two rows above and the two rows below are compared, the side with more marks is added, and the step repeats until the band holds 70% of all TPO marks. The top of the band is the value area high (VAH), the bottom the value area low (VAL). How to read it: the width says how far the day's accepted prices spread, and our table gives it as a share of the POC so days and coins compare; a close above VAH or below VAL ended the day outside the prices most of the session accepted. Symbol pages show VAL and VAH for every recent closed day.
